It is known over the reports that a Suffield man is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after police said he dragged his dog for 10 minutes while it was tied to his pickup truck. Clearly it violates every page in the animal rights book. I think that with people like this man have really gone off the board with abusing his pet dog , due to the influence of illegal drugs and/or alcohol. The report said that the dog has sadly died.

In a report on the case, Suffield police said that they stopped Brian Moson on Sunday night after a report of a dog being dragged along River Boulevard. It was apparent that Moson, is under the influence of alcohol, they said. Police say Moson told them he forgot he tied the 5-year-old Australian Shepherd to the back of the truck, which clearly a lie.

The dog was taken to VCA Boston Road Animal Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts Moson has been charged with animal cruelty and operating under the influence, but reports said that Moson has been released after posting bond. It is just sad that an animal abuser like him is still out, but I hope that it could be a lesson for him and hopefully no more incidents like that will happen.

There are some mistakes that dog owners do in training their dogs, you must avoid such mistakes.

In conducting dog training, here are the mistakes you should avoid:

Making use of different commands and cues is one of the mistakes. When conducting dog training, you must not use lots of different commands and cues, you must use same cue, in order to avoid confusing your pet dog.

Punishing your dog while performing dog training is another mistake you should avoid. When your dog wasn’t able to do the command you are teaching, you must not hit your dog, since your pet dog will just fear you or the dog will just be aggressive.

Never ever yell or shout your dog while performing dog training. If you wish your dog to obey your command, you must teach your dog with calm voice, do not shout because it can only cause confusion. And using different tones of voices can’t help you teach your dog, you can only confuse your pet dog.

Lasting more than 15 minutes is a no-no in training your dog. If you will be training your pet dog, you must only allocate 10-15 minutes of your time each day. If want your dog to pay attention, do not extend or allot too much time, 10-15 minutes is enough.

Not praising your pet when the dog did something good is another mistake. If your dog followed you, you must praise and treat your dog rightly.

These are mistakes that you should avoid in teaching your pet dogs. Indeed, you must do the right things in order to assure that your pet dog with follow each of your command.

Dog Breeds: Choosing the Right One

Having a puppy at home is something that you would be excited at, thinking that you will be adding a new family member.
