Making use of different commands and cues is one of the mistakes. When conducting dog training, you must not use lots of different commands and cues, you must use same cue, in order to avoid confusing your pet dog.
Punishing your dog while performing dog training is another mistake you should avoid. When your dog wasn’t able to do the command you are teaching, you must not hit your dog, since your pet dog will just fear you or the dog will just be aggressive.
Never ever yell or shout your dog while performing dog training. If you wish your dog to obey your command, you must teach your dog with calm voice, do not shout because it can only cause confusion. And using different tones of voices can’t help you teach your dog, you can only confuse your pet dog.
Lasting more than 15 minutes is a no-no in training your dog. If you will be training your pet dog, you must only allocate 10-15 minutes of your time each day. If want your dog to pay attention, do not extend or allot too much time, 10-15 minutes is enough.
Not praising your pet when the dog did something good is another mistake. If your dog followed you, you must praise and treat your dog rightly.
